This two-days course of 12 hours actual training time provides all knowledge and skills needed to design and implement the ERGON Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization treatment program, a functional IASTM treatment program combining IASTM with movement. The course is addressed to ERGON IASTM TECHNIQUE Providers (having completed the Basic ERGON IASTM TECHNIQUE Course) who wish to become ERGON IASTM TECHNIQUE Certified Therapists. The course builds upon the Basic ERGON IASTM TECHNIQUE Course to combine IASTM applications with exercise for full functional rehabilitation. It focuses on functional conditions and movement patterns to provide a textbook on how to combine ERGON IASTM TECHNIQUE with rehabilitation phases. Teaching methodology is lab based. Supervised practical application of taught ERGON IASTM techniques is performed in 2-3 persons groups on all anatomical structures and for all common musculoskeletal injuries incorporating advanced techniques. The course is taught in the local language or in English with interpretation in the local language.
Participants must be licensed professionals that have successfully completed the BASIC ERGON IASTM Course. Especially designed for those ERGON IASTM TECHNIQUE Providers that wish to expand their knowledge and skills on IASTM.
Understand and leverage recent findings of worldwide literature on IASTM techniques.
Evaluate holistically the human body:
Assess all kinds of soft tissue dysfunctions
Introduce movement patterns combined with Basic and Advanced Ergon® strokes:
Integrate exercise (resistance, stretching and neuromuscular control exercises) with simultaneous use of ERGON instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization techniques
Integrate techniques combined with other means of physiotherapy including Bosu Trainer®, TRX, Balance Disc, and more, during the functional stage of rehabilitation
Apply specific Therapeutic Protocols for the treatment of the majority of neuromusculoskeletal pathologies and injuries
Theory – Lecture with PowerPoint presentation:
Introduction to IASTM:
advanced IASTM research and findings
IASTM contraindications
fascia: Anatomy-Function-Pathologies
myofascial release therapy
Introduction to rehabilitation phases with ERGON IASTM TECHNIQUE:
Holistic patient assessment: fascia movement patterns and posture
Exercise integration with ERGON IASTM TECHNIQUE techniques, including resistance, stretching and neuromuscular control exercise
Active phase – early proliferation
Resistive phase – late proliferation
Aggressive phase – tissue remodeling
Practical education – Brief introduction in the form of Lecture and supervised applications at each Lab:
1st Lab. Advanced strokes:
2nd Lab. Advanced ERGON IASTM TECHNIQUE Scanning Procedure (ETSP)
3rd -19th Labs. ERGON IASTM TECHNIQUE treatment per myofascial line and anatomical structure:
Anatomy, pathologies and advanced functional rehabilitation techniques for soft tissue
Treatment protocols per rehabilitation phase
Targeted exercise in combination with ERGON IASTM TECHNIQUE per pathology
Recap, incorporating IASTM into treatment protocols, discussion, Q&As
Detailed theoretical principles, indications and contraindications, expected results.

Functional interface between myofascial structures of myofascial meridians
Remote treatment for improving functional capacity of remote anatomical structures
Correlation of soft tissue pathologies with conditions such as tendinopathies, neck pain, back pain, sciatica, headaches, carpal tunnel syndrome
Extraordinary myofascial release points for remote treatment of anatomical structures to boost standard treatment approaches
After successful completion of the course, each trainee receives a Certificate, with a unique serial number. This enables verification of the authenticity of each Certificate.
